Fundraisers and Showcases

The BUILD Art Show and the Annual Gala are BUILD’s two biggest fundraisers and community-wide celebrations.

They offer opportunities for organizations and individuals to sponsor, underwrite, or buy tickets to attend.
For the art show, artists are invited to donate work related to each year’s theme.

Annual Gala

A festive evening of storytelling and community strength at Navy Pier. Founded in 1969 to face gang violence on Chicago’s West Side, BUILD has grown into a leading youth development organization, helping thousands of young people persist and thrive.

The BUILD Art Show

BUILD youth are constantly creating art: to process trauma and heal, to calm racing minds, to explore creative interests and unlock new ones. Each year their work is showcased in our annual Art Show, with proceeds from all sales directly supporting the art programs at BUILD.

Community Events

BUILD hosts several non-ticketed events where community members come together to bring positivity and visibility to the neighborhoods. Please join us for these uplifting events!
